Safety on Intent

Intent creates a clearer reason to connect, but no app can guarantee another person’s identity, conduct, compatibility, or safety.

Be honest about your intent

Represent yourself and your plan accurately. Do not impersonate another person or hide a commercial, deceptive, or harmful purpose.

Respect boundaries

A match or reply is not permission for pressure, harassment, sexual content, or contact outside Intent. Accept a no and stop when asked.

Protect private information

Avoid sharing financial details, identity documents, passwords, verification codes, or a home address with someone you do not know.

Not allowed

Content and conduct that do not belong on Intent

  • Harassment, threats, stalking, hate, exploitation, or violence
  • Scams, spam, deceptive requests, or unlawful activity
  • Sexual exploitation or any sexual content involving minors
  • Impersonation or sharing someone else’s private information
  • Attempts to bypass blocks, moderation, or service security

Report

Report a person from their profile or the related conversation. Include useful context without adding unrelated private information. Reports may include relevant match or conversation details so Intent can investigate.

Block

Blocked people no longer appear in your matches or direct conversations inside Intent. Blocking cannot prevent contact through another service or in the physical world.

Enforcement

Intent may investigate reports and restrict accounts, content, matching, or chat when reasonably needed for safety, legal compliance, or service integrity.

Before meeting

Keep the first plan easy to leave.

  • Meet in a public place when appropriate.
  • Tell someone you trust where you are going.
  • Arrange your own transportation and keep your phone available.
  • Do not send money or financial information.
  • Leave if the situation differs from what was agreed or feels unsafe.
