Agreement
By creating an account, agreeing to these Terms in the app, or using Intent, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What Intent does
Intent lets people describe real-world plans, form and activate a clear request, review compatible active requests, express interest, and open direct chat after both people accept. Intent does not act as either user and does not guarantee a match, response, meeting, or outcome.
Your account
Use accurate information where it matters for matching and safety. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your phone and device secure. Do not impersonate another person, share an account, or create an account to avoid enforcement.
You may delete your account from the Me screen. Deletion is irreversible and follows the process described in our account deletion guide.
Use of AI
Intent uses Google Gemini to understand requests, ask follow-up questions, prepare request details, and support matching. The app explains this processing and obtains permission before you enter the service.
AI output can be incomplete or wrong. Review every formed Intent before activation and use your own judgment when evaluating a match or deciding to communicate or meet.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You give Intent a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, reproduce, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service and to meet legal obligations described in the Privacy Policy.
You must have the right to submit your content. Do not submit another person’s private information, image, or intellectual property without permission.
Acceptable use
You may not use Intent to:
- harass, threaten, exploit, stalk, or harm another person;
- post hate, scams, spam, deceptive, illegal, or abusive content;
- share sexually exploitative content or any content involving minors;
- impersonate someone or misrepresent your identity or intentions;
- collect user information without permission;
- bypass safety controls, probe security, scrape, or disrupt Intent;
- use the service for unlawful transactions or regulated activity.

Interactions with other people
You are responsible for your conversations, decisions, and real-world interactions. Intent does not verify every user and does not guarantee identity, availability, compatibility, conduct, or safety.
Take reasonable precautions, protect sensitive information, meet in public when appropriate, arrange your own transportation, and tell someone you trust about a first meeting. Leave and seek help if a situation feels unsafe.
Reporting, blocking, and enforcement
Intent provides reporting and blocking from relevant profiles and conversations. Blocking prevents the blocked account from appearing in your matches or direct conversations inside Intent, but cannot prevent contact outside the service.
We may investigate reports and restrict, suspend, or remove accounts, content, matches, or chat access when reasonably needed for user safety, legal compliance, or service integrity. Safety records are handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
Third-party services
Intent depends on Google Firebase, Google Gemini, and Stream Chat. Their availability and processing are governed by their applicable service arrangements. Intent may be interrupted when one of these services or your network is unavailable.
Availability and changes
We may change, pause, add, or remove features and may perform maintenance. We do not promise that Intent will always be available, error-free, or suitable for every request. Material changes to these Terms will be accompanied by an updated effective date and any notice required by law.
Disclaimers and responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, Intent is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties that cannot reasonably apply to a free matching and communication service, except where the law does not permit that disclaimer.
Intent is not responsible for another user’s statements, conduct, availability, or actions outside the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
